Windows 7 & 8 Issues
Can Score Master run on Windows 10 & later?
Yes, but Windows will complain when it is installing, just click on “Ignore” button.
I am having an issue unzipping the Score Master update on my Windows 10 & later?
Windows is very protective of the Program Files folder and will prevent files being directly unzipped into this folder and the SMWin sub-folder. Unzip the files into a temp folder and then use Windows Explorer to manually copy the files into the Program Files/SMWin folder.
Are there any Score Master features that do not work on Windows 7 & later?
There are 3 issues:
- The ENTER Key on Speed Score does behave as the TAB key. You will have to use the TAB key to move from field to field and when the focus is on the “Save” button, you may hit the ENTER key.
- The File => Import function does not work – Windows 7 & 8 are very protective of the Program Files folders and sub-folders. Use Windows Explorer to manually copy files into the Program Files/SMWin folder.
- Exporting Excel / HTML Files – Windows 7 & 8 are very protective of the Program Files folders and sub-folders. Do not export the file to Program Files folder or its sub-folders.

Using Score Master
I cannot find the sub-totals of competitors by levels and age groups?
The Meet Roster report has these totals at the bottom of the report. There is a new report on the “Edit Competitor” screen called Sub-Total Report. There are 2 new reports under the report menu that have this information also: Session Summary and Meet Summary.
I need to sub divide a level into Novice and Open for individual awards, but still need to combine them for team awards, how can I do this?
There are “user fields” that are for this exact purpose on the “Edit Competitor Info” screen, just put an “N” and a “X” for the other. Then when you run the individual awards specify the “N” or “O” or any letter on the Selection Criteria screen. Then when you run the Team Awards, ignore the user field.
My meet has 2 sessions, should set it up as one meet or two?
If competitors from one session compete against the competitors in the other session in anyway (individual or team) then you need to set it up as one meet and use the session field in the “Edit Competitor Info” screen to differentiate the sessions for reporting, etc. If there is no intra session competition, then you can set it up as one meet or two. If you do set it up as one meet, make sure there are no duplicate competitor #’s between the sessions.
